Alejandro Lopez Presents Jandroide Soma
Release Date: 11 May 2008
Jandroide is a pseudonym for Spanish producer Alejandro Lopez, newly signed to Soma Records. Born and raised in Gijon (Spain), Alejandro first released in 2006 on Donnacha Costello's Minimise label catching the eyes and ears of Joris Voorn, Magda, Ángel Molina and most notably Slam who would soon be responsible for bringing the young producer to the Soma imprint.

His live performances have been creating a huge buzz with a special mix of driving, powerful visuals and deep, fractured grooves and this year he will be appearing alongside Dave Clarke, Karl Bartos, Kevin Saunderson and Alex Under at the FAMA festival.

Title track Grande Coracion is a jacking acid house workout with a minimal edge. The driving bassline takes you on a journey with the pounding rhythm in complete control of your feet. Meanwhile the skeletal clinks glissando over your brain bending your perceptions.

On the flip Haunted Chamber is a freaky cut of glassy melodies and pulsating rhythm. Cutting to the bone and aiming straight for the jugular, this track will hit the dancefloor running at primetime.

Closing the EP What Is Spanish Dust gets the groove on with it's cracked rhythms, patchwork samples and jazzy brass and basslines. Wait for the surprise at 2:54!
